The Farm Vault Does Not Sell Your Data
We want to be completely transparent: The Farm Vault does not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. We never have and we never will.
Your Rights Under State Privacy Laws
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act (OCPA), and similar state laws, you have the right to:
- Opt out of the sale of personal information — Since we do not sell your data, there is nothing to opt out of. However, we honor this right proactively.
- Opt out of sharing for targeted advertising — We do not share your data for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising purposes.
- Opt out of profiling — We do not use your data for automated profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Universal Opt-Out Signals
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals and other universal opt-out mechanisms as valid requests to opt out of data sales and targeted advertising, as required by Oregon and California law. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we automatically treat it as a valid opt-out request.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively for:
- Providing the asset management and insurance tracking service you signed up for
- AI-powered features (photo analysis, video documentation, coverage advisor) — your data is processed but not stored by AI providers or used to train AI models
- Essential account communications (login, security, billing)
- Service improvements based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns
Third-Party Services
We use a limited number of third-party services to operate The Farm Vault:
- Stripe — Payment processing only (PCI-compliant, data not shared for advertising)
- AWS — Secure cloud storage for your photos and documents
- AI Processing — Temporary data processing for photo/video analysis (not stored)
None of these services receive your data for the purpose of selling or sharing it.
How to Exercise Your Rights
Even though we don't sell your data, you can still exercise your privacy rights:
- Request a copy of your data — Use the Data Export feature in your account Security settings
- Request data deletion — Contact us to delete your account and all associated data
- Request data correction — Edit your information directly in the app, or contact us for assistance
